How the Snuggie was invented

I don’t actually know how this modern marvel was invented, but I have an idea. Imagine this: it’s a cold night. Cold as a well digger’s ass… if that well digger were dead and in a freezer. Mr. Inventor is wrapped in his favorite (microfiber!) blanket, but it’s always getting in the way of his massive bong rips. LIGHT BULB!

“Woah… wait, what if, what if we made a blanket…but with sleeves? We can call it…the SHIRTANKET!”

That probably didn’t happen…in fact, it definitely didn’t. The Snuggie is predated by several products, such as the “Slanket.” What made the Snuggie so special, nobody knows, but at least there are no hard feelings. Gary Clegg, the creator of the Slanket, said of the great Sleeved Blanket War:

“It’s just business. There are wars raging; these are just blankets with sleeves.”

I really think he’s downplaying the importance of having one’s hands free while still being wrapped in a blanket, but so be it.  I personally believe that the Snuggie creator is a super-motivated time traveling business man from the ’80s. That would explain the zebra “fashion prints.”

Oh, the point I was trying to get to: “Shirtanket” is a way better name than either “Snuggie” or “Slanket,” because it says what it is.
